Box Encryption

StratoKey is an application agnostic CASB that provides EMAD™(Encryption, Monitoring, Analytics and Defensive) capabilities for organizations using Box®. By utilizing StratoKey organizations have fine grained control over their data security. StratoKey does not require any end-point configuration or installed agents and operates unobtrusively and transparently for end-users. StratoKey encryption for Box ensures that encryption keys are separated from the end storage provider and assists organizations in meeting compliance requirements such as those specified by HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, PCI, GDPR etc.

Encrypting Box

Box Encryption provided through StratoKey, is seamless and transparent to end users. This transparent file encryption secures files before they leave your organization's control and puts you in sole control of the encryption keys. StratoKey encrypts files uploaded to Box through the standard browser interface, on mobile devices and when automatically synchronized with the Box Sync desktop application. Files are automatically decrypted when downloaded through the StratoKey gateway. The entire encryption process is a seamless, latency-free experience that's performed entirely without agents.
